1/2 Kreuzer - Charles II of Liechtenstein-Kastelkorn

Charles II of Liechtenstein-Kastelkorn governed the Bishopric of Olomouc from 1664 until his death in 1695, presiding over a diocese still recovering from the devastation of the Thirty Years' War and subsequently battered by plague. This tiny fractional piece was struck in the final year of his episcopate — the 1694–1695 date span almost certainly reflects production bridging his death rather than a planned two-year issue. Moravian ecclesiastical coinages of this denomination were struck in such limited quantities that institutional survival in any condition is the norm; extended circulation was never the point.
