| 正面描述 | The Württemberg arms — a shield charged with three antlers — displayed within a circular frame and surmounted by a ducal crown. The crowned shield is flanked on either side by palm branches that curve outward symmetrically, forming a wreath-like surround. The last two digits of the date are divided and appear at the upper left and upper right of the crown. The design is rendered in low relief against a plain field, consistent with the small-module billon coinage of the period. |

Charles Eugene's long reign over Württemberg — stretching from 1737 to 1793 — was defined as much by fiscal strain as by his lavish court at Ludwigsburg. The duchy's smaller billon denominations were workhorses of everyday exchange, produced in large quantities to supply a population for whom silver coinage was largely out of reach. The billon content itself shifted across the production window as silver prices fluctuated against the duke's perpetually strained treasury.
