Obverse description Within a trefoil or three-lobed decorative frame, the pine cone — the civic emblem of Augsburg — is displayed prominently in the upper central field. Below the pine cone, the denomination inscription '1/2 K' is arranged horizontally across the lower portion of the design, flanked by ornamental flourishes. The last two digits of the date are divided across the upper left and right fields, reading '2' and '4' (for 1624) or '2' and '5' (for 1625). The overall design is enclosed within a beaded or toothed border. The composition is stark and heraldic, typical of small hammered silver coinage from early seventeenth-century Imperial Free Cities.
