Obverse description Central field displays the crowned coat of arms of the Fürstenberg family, featuring a quartered shield with heraldic devices, surmounted by a princely crown. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, reading I·W·S·R·I·P·DE FURSTENBERG L·B·ST·, referencing the title and name of the issuing prince, Joseph Wenzel. The design is executed in a restrained Baroque style typical of small German principality coinage of the late eighteenth century.
