| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a stylized elephant motif rendered in a primitive, granular hammered style, surrounded by a border of raised pellets or bosses arranged in an arc or horseshoe formation. The design exhibits the bold, schematic artistic convention typical of early Indian copper coinage, with the elephant symbol serving as the dynastic emblem of the Naga rulers. The irregular flan shows characteristic die-shift and surface irregularities consistent with hand-hammered production. No legible legend appears on this side. |

| Reverse description | Three-line Brahmi inscription occupying the entire reverse field, reading the royal epithet of the issuing Naga ruler Ganpati Naga. The characters are boldly and somewhat crudely incised into the irregular copper flan, displaying the angular Brahmi script forms typical of the northern Indian Naga dynastic issues of the mid-fourth century CE. The inscription is arranged horizontally across the flan in three registers. Surface patination shows areas of green cuprite consistent with ancient burial or prolonged soil exposure. |
