Reverse description Central device depicts a front-facing five-clawed imperial dragon rendered in high relief, with flames and clouds surrounding its serpentine body in the characteristic style of late Qing coinage. The dragon's head is shown full-face with prominent features including whiskers, horns, and an open mouth, occupying the majority of the coin's field. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central dragon motif, set between the beaded inner circle and the reeded outer rim. The inscription reads TA. TSING TWENTY THIRD YEAR OF KWANG HSU in the upper arc and PEI YANG ARSENAL in the lower arc, providing the romanized identification of the issuing authority, reign period, and date. The overall composition is bold and densely engraved, consistent with the original dragon type designation for this issue.
