备注

The 1958 half-pound belongs to Israel's second banknote series, which replaced the interim currency issued under the Anglo-Palestine Bank before the Bank of Israel assumed full central banking authority. The "Walks of Life" series was a deliberate nation-building exercise — each denomination depicted a different occupational archetype drawn from the socialist-Zionist idealization of labor, agriculture, and settlement.

Printed entirely in-house by the Bank of Israel's own Currency Department, an unusual arrangement for a small central bank at the time. The half-pound denomination was the lowest in the series and saw heavy circulation, making genuinely uncirculated examples harder to find than the higher values.
