Obverse description Printed in brown and black on plain paper, the note displays a decorative border composed of musical note patterns engraved by J.M. Fleischman, enclosing the full text of the obligation in Dutch. Serial numbering is applied in black, and the overprint 'SURINAME' appears in orange, adapting this originally Belgian issue for colonial circulation in Suriname. Multiple manuscript signatures appear in black ink, including that of the Treasurer Mathieu.
