The truncation is plain and unadorned. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading BERNHARD HERZOG ZU SACHSEN MEININGEN. The engraver's name HELFRICHT appears in small capitals at the base of the bust truncation. The field is smooth, framed by a fine toothed border. |
