| Reverse description | The quartered royal arms of Great Britain are displayed at centre, enclosed within an ornate baroque cartouche with elaborate scrollwork supporters, and surmounted by the Imperial Crown. The four quarters bear respectively the three passant guardant lions of England (quarters one and four), the rampant lion of Scotland (quarter two), the three fleurs-de-lis of France (quarter two, impaled), the harp of Ireland (quarter three), and the white horse of Hanover within an inescutcheon. The date 17 63 is divided at the top of the field flanking the crown, and the abbreviated royal titles legend encircles the design reading ·M·B·F·ET·H·REX·F·D·B·ET·L·D·S·R·I·A·T·ET·E· |
