| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, a large gothic letter A in uncial script is depicted centrally, surrounded by four small annulets arranged symmetrically in the field. A small shield bearing the civic arms of Camerino appears at the top of the inner circle. The surrounding outer legend, rendered in Gothic uncial characters, reads the abbreviated name of the city. The overall style is characteristic of central Italian communal coinage of the early fifteenth century, with bold, somewhat irregular hand-engraved lettering. |
