| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse field displays a three-line Latin inscription CHARI / TAS / FLVIT (meaning 'Charity abounds') set within an ornate cartouche formed by scrolling acanthus-style volutes at the top and bottom, rendered in a Baroque decorative style typical of early eighteenth-century papal coinage. The inscription fills the central field in bold capital letters, with the text divided across three lines for compositional balance. The entire design is enclosed within a prominent milled or toothed border running around the full circumference of the coin. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Innocent XIII's pontificate lasted barely three years, from 1721 to 1724, and was consumed largely by the Jansenist controversy and his fraught relationship with the Habsburgs over investiture rights in Sicily. Papal coinage under his name is correspondingly scarce — few issues, short production windows, and a mint staff in Rome that had already spent decades grinding out emergency fractions for a treasury under chronic strain.
The Charitas Flvit type is documented in Berman as a single-year emission.
