Obverse description Central field bears the papal coat of arms of Pope Innocent XIII (Michelangelo Conti), depicting a crowned shield charged with an eagle displayed, surmounted by the papal tiara and flanked by the crossed keys of Saint Peter. The armorial design is rendered in low relief within a plain inner border, surrounded by a continuous outer toothed or milled border. The circular Latin legend reads INNOC٠XIII P٠M٠A٠II, identifying the pontiff as Innocent XIII, Supreme Pontiff, in the second year of his reign.
