Obverse description The elaborate quartered papal arms of Innocent XI (Odescalchi family), surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys of Saint Peter, displayed within an ornate baroque shield. The arms feature an eagle in the upper quarters and a lion passant in the lower quarters, surrounded by decorative foliate scrollwork. The circular legend runs along the coin's periphery within a reeded border.
