Obverse description A royal crown occupies the central field, rendered in bold Gothic relief and enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The crown is depicted with prominent fleurs-de-lis finials and decorative foliate base elements characteristic of 14th-century Bohemian die engraving. Surrounding the inner circle, a circular Latin legend in uncial Gothic lettering reads IOHANES PRIMUS, separated by a cross at the top. The legend is contained between the beaded inner ring and the irregular coin edge, with no outer border frame.
