| Obverse description | Aurochs head facing left in the field, depicted in profile with prominent horns curving upward; a six-pointed star appears above between the horns, and a crescent or rosette symbol is visible to the lower left of the head. The design is rendered in low relief characteristic of hammered medieval coinage, with the iconic Moldavian aurochs serving as the dynastic symbol of the ruling house. The flan is irregular with a slightly ragged edge typical of the period. |
