Obverse description Divided shield bearing a branch or wing device on the dexter side and three horizontal bars on the sinister side, surmounted by a crown. The shield is rendered in a simple heraldic style characteristic of Moldavian billon coinage of the mid-fifteenth century. The overall design occupies the central field with no surrounding legend.

Reverse description Facing auroch head, the principal dynastic emblem of Moldavia, with a six-pointed star positioned between the horns. A rosette appears in the right field and a crescent in the left field, flanking the central device. The composition is typical of Moldavian groschen-series coinage attributed to Stephen II, rendered in the crude but distinctive hammered style of the period.
