Reverse description A bold Jerusalem cross occupies the central field within an inner beaded circle: a large plain cross with equal arms divides the field into four quarters, each containing a smaller Greek cross. The arms of the large cross bear short serifs or terminals, consistent with the Jerusalem cross type used on Angevin coinage of Provence. The design is executed in the characteristic flat hammered relief of the period. The surrounding circular legend is enclosed between inner and outer beaded borders.
