| Opis awersu | Central field displays the Stolberg heraldic deer (stag) passant within a raised inner circle, rendered in the late medieval Gothic style typical of hammered coinage. The stag is depicted in profile facing left, with clearly struck antlers and raised forelegs. A beaded inner border separates the central charge from the surrounding circular legend. The outer legend, in uncial Gothic lettering, reads the names and titles of the three joint counts: Henry XIX, Henry XX, and Botho III of Stolberg. The coin exhibits characteristic irregular flan edges consistent with hand-hammered production of the early sixteenth century. |
