| Obverse description | Central device depicts the Hanoverian white horse (the Sachsenross) in a vigorous rearing pose to the right, standing upon a rocky ground line. The horse is rendered in high relief with flowing mane and tail. The circular legend KÖNIGREICH HANNOVER runs along the upper periphery, while the mintmark B appears in the lower field beneath the ground line.
