Obverse description Within a polylobed inner border, the helmeted arms of Savoy are depicted in the field, surmounted by a crested helm with visor facing left. The shield bears the characteristic cross of Savoy. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters surrounds the central device, contained within a beaded outer border. The overall style is consistent with late 14th to early 15th century Savoyard hammered coinage.
