Obverse description Within a raised beaded inner circle, a bold Gothic capital letter A occupies the central field, its apex surmounted by a small cross pattée. The A and cross are set within a four-lobed (quadrilobe) frame formed by four rounded arches. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin characters runs clockwise between the inner beaded border and the outer irregular rim.
