Reverse description A floriated cross with fleuronné terminals dominates the central field, dividing the coin into four quarters. In the upper-left and lower-right angles appear fleurs-de-lis, while the upper-right and lower-left angles each contain a Gothic letter L, the royal initial of Louis XI. The entire design is framed within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend SIT NOMEN DNI BENEDICTVM L running around the periphery, concluding with a mint or regnal letter.
