The king is depicted in three-quarter facing view, wearing a stylized crown, with the portrait occupying the central field. A circular legend in Latin uncial script surrounds the effigy between the inner beaded ring and an outer beaded border at the rim. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Central Jerusalem cross — a large cross potent with a small square at the centre and a smaller cross in each of the four quarters — occupies the field within an inner beaded circle, a design emblematic of the Crusader heritage of the Lusignan dynasty. The cross is boldly rendered in the hammered style. A Latin uncial legend runs between the inner beaded ring and an outer beaded border at the rim, completing the royal titulature. |
