| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field bears a quartered heraldic shield of the Lusignan dynasty, divided per pale: the dexter half depicts the Jerusalem cross (a large cross potent surrounded by four smaller crosslets) representing the claim to the Kingdom of Jerusalem, while the sinister half shows the rampant lion of Cyprus. The shield is set within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding Latin legend reads + IRL'M ET CIPRI REGIS FILIVS, identifying the issuer as son of the King of Jerusalem and Cyprus. The outer border consists of a continuous series of short radial striations framed by the irregular hammered flan edge. |
