Obverse description Central field displays a quartered heraldic shield bearing the arms of Burgundy and Holland, surmounted by a fleur-de-lis and flanked by additional heraldic devices. The shield is set within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin characters reads the ruler's titles, interrupted by annulet stops. The overall style is characteristic of late medieval Burgundian hammered billon coinage, with an irregular flan and somewhat uneven strike.

Reverse description Central design features a long cross with fleurs-de-lis at each extremity, dividing the field into four quadrants, each containing a small heraldic motif or floral ornament. A small annulet or pellet is visible at the centre of the cross. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The peripheral legend in uncial Latin characters proclaims the monetary authority of the County of Holland and Zeeland, separated by annulet stops. The hammered flan shows typical medieval irregularity in both shape and relief.
