| Beschrijving keerzijde | Long voided cross pattée extending to the inner beaded circle, dividing the field into four quadrants each containing three pellets arranged in a trefoil pattern, a design typical of Scottish medieval groats and half groats. A small crown appears at the centre of the cross. Two concentric Latin legends in uncial script occupy the field between the inner beaded circle and the coin's edge, the inner legend giving the king's title and the outer naming the Edinburgh mint. |
