| Obverse description | Crowned facing bust of Henry VI within a tressure of Gothic arches, the king depicted in a stylised frontal effigy typical of Lancastrian hammered coinage. The crown features fleurs-de-lis and crosses, rendered in the angular style characteristic of the period. Rosettes and mascles are interspersed throughout the surrounding legend, serving as the principal diagnostic markers of this issue. The inner field is bounded by a beaded inner circle, with the legend running between the inner and outer circles. |

| Reverse description | A long cross pattee extends to the coin's inner circle, dividing the reverse field into four quarters, each containing a trefoil at the angles. A central pellet or boss marks the intersection of the cross. The surrounding legend is punctuated with rosettes and mascles consistent with the Rosette-Mascle issue, and the legend explicitly names the Calais mint. A beaded inner circle separates the central cross design from the outer inscription. |
