Reverse description Long voided cross pattee divides the field into four quarters, each containing three pellets arranged in a trefoil pattern, all enclosed within a beaded tressure of four arcs. The quarters alternate between fleurs-de-lis and lions passant guardant motifs consistent with the royal arms of England and France. An inner beaded circle frames the central design, while the two-line Latin legend, separated by pellet stops and identifying the London mint, runs between the inner and outer beaded borders.
