Obverse description Facing crowned bust of Edward IV within a beaded tressure, set within a beaded inner circle. The effigy displays the king in three-quarter frontal view with a crown above, and distinctive annulets flanking the neck on either side. The portrait is rendered in the angular, stylised manner typical of late medieval Irish hammered coinage. The surrounding legend runs between the inner and outer beaded circles.
