| Beschrijving keerzijde | A long cross pattée extending to the coin's edge, dividing the field into four quarters, each containing three pellets arranged in a triangular formation. Two concentric legend bands encircle the design, separated by beaded borders. The mint name CIVITAS EBORACE (City of York) is incorporated into the outer legend, identifying this piece as a product of the York ecclesiastical mint. The bold cross design and pellet ornamentation are characteristic of Edward III's Pre-treaty coinage. |
