| Beschrijving keerzijde | A long voided cross extending to the coin's edge divides the reverse field into four quadrants, each containing three pellets arranged in a triangular formation, a design element standard to Scottish half groats of the third coinage. A small ornamental crown or lis appears at the centre where the limbs of the cross intersect. The mint name and devotional legend are inscribed in two concentric circular bands in uncial lettering, separated by a beaded circle. The overall design closely follows the English half groat prototype of the period while retaining distinctly Scottish heraldic and epigraphic conventions. |
