Reverse description Two crossed keys of St. Peter, the arms of the city of Riga, displayed in saltire at the centre of the field, with the bows of the keys facing upward and small cross pattée ornaments visible between the key shafts. The keys are rendered in a bold, stylised Gothic manner consistent with hammered gold coinage of the period. The central device is encircled by a continuous legend in uncial lettering giving the date and the mint attribution, separated by pellet stops.
