The armored equestrian figure raises a sword or lance in the field above the serpentine dragon. The design is rendered in the bold, compact style typical of German hammered gold coinage of the early seventeenth century. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device within a beaded or plain border. |

A circular Latin legend surrounds the composition, consistent with the joint coinage issued under Volrat VI, Wolfgang III, and John George II. |
