| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays the crowned royal arms of France — a pointed shield semé of fleurs-de-lis — surmounted by an open crown with fleurs-de-lis finials, rendered in the Gothic heraldic style characteristic of late Valois coinage. The shield is set within a plain inner circle, with the surrounding field left flat. A circular legend in Gothic uncial lettering runs between two beaded borders, interrupted at the top by a small cross pattée serving as the initial mark.
