Descrizione del dritto	Central field displays the shield of Savoy — a plain cross on a quartered escutcheon — enclosed within an ornate Gothic cusped or lobed inner circle. The word FERT, the dynastic motto of the House of Savoy, appears within the inner border flanking the shield. The circumferential legend LVDOVICVS D SABAVDIE P runs around the outer border in Gothic lettering, identifying the issuer as Ludovicus (Louis I), Duke of Savoy. The overall composition is characteristic of mid-fifteenth century Savoyard hammered gold coinage, with bold heraldic imagery occupying the majority of the flan.
