Reverse description Central field displays a floriated cross pattée with fleurs-de-lis or rosette ornaments in each quarter, all contained within a raised inner circle. The cross divides the field into four quarters, each filled with decorative floral motifs. A shield bearing the Holland lion rampant appears at the centre of the cross. The circumferential Latin legend, separated by rosette stops, carries the Christus Vincit formula in a beaded outer border. The overall design follows the standard Écu type derived from French royal coinage.
