| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features the denomination '١/٢' (one-half) above the Arabic inscription 'نصف غرش' (Half Ghirsh), all enclosed within a raised rope circle. Flanking the rope circle on either side are outward-facing olive or wheat branch sprigs in low relief. The Arabic legend 'الجمهورية اللبنانية' (Lebanese Republic) curves along the upper periphery, and the date in Eastern Arabic-Indic numerals appears at the base, separated from the field by a beaded inner border. The overall design is rendered in a clean, formal style typical of French Mandate-era coinage produced at the Monnaie de Paris. |
