| Beschrijving voorzijde | Crude hammered copper flan bearing an Arabic legend in the field, struck in the characteristic informal style of late Bahmani Sultanate coinage. The inscription, executed in a debased Naskh script, occupies the majority of the flan and contains the royal titulature of Mahmud Shah. The surfaces show typical die-wear and irregular planchet preparation consistent with hammered provincial coinage of the period. A small pellet or circular ornament is visible in the upper field. The irregular flan edge reflects hand-cut preparation standard to Bahmani copper issues. |
