| Reverse description | Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in bold Naskh script arranged in horizontal registers, reading 'Kalim allah al-sultan al-Bahmani' (Kalimullah, the Sultan of the Bahmanis), identifying the issuing ruler. The inscription fills the flan, characteristic of the compact format of Bahmani copper fractions. The irregular flan edge and variable alignment are consistent with hand-struck production methods of the late Bahmani Sultanate. |

Kalimullah Shah's reign lasted barely two years before the Bahmani Sultanate — already long fragmented among its breakaway Deccan successor states — effectively ceased to function as a political entity. He was the last sultan to issue coinage in the dynasty's name, though real power had passed entirely to the Barid Shahi minister Amir Barid decades earlier. This piece is among the final emissions of a sultanate that had dominated the Deccan for nearly two centuries.
