Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Frederick II (Frederick the Great) of Prussia, wearing armor and an ermine-lined mantle with a pearl-bordered collar. The king's hair is styled in flowing curls tied with a ribbon at the nape. Two small six-pointed stars appear at the base of the bust in the lower field. The circumferential legend reads FRIDERICUS BORUSSORUM REX, and the coin's milled border is visible around the rim.
