| Obverse description | Full-length frontal figure of Saint John the Baptist standing in the field, clad in flowing robes with detailed drapery rendered in the Gothic style. The saint is depicted in a formal, hieratic pose with arms slightly extended. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central figure, partially visible on the irregular flan, reading S IOHANNES B. The hammered flan shows characteristic irregular edges typical of medieval Aragonese gold coinage. |
