Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Edward VII, engraved by George William de Saulles, occupying the central field with fine portrait detail including a short beard and truncated neck. The surrounding legend reads EDWARDUS VII DEI GRATIA REX, disposed in an arc around the upper and lower periphery. A small star device appears below the bust truncation at the base of the field. The rim is defined by a continuous border of raised beads encircling the entire design.
