Obverse description Hammered copper flan displaying a three-line Arabic legend in the field, reading 'al-Sultan / al-A'zam / Mahmud Shah' (the Sultan / the Supreme / Mahmud Shah), arranged horizontally across the coin's surface. The script is boldly struck in a characteristic Indo-Islamic style typical of the Gujarat Sultanate coinage. The flan is irregular and shows pronounced green patination with areas of red cuprite, consistent with long burial. The legends are separated by a horizontal line dividing the field.

Reverse description Hammered reverse displaying a three-line Arabic legend in the field, reading 'bin Latif / Shah / al-Sultan' (son of Latif / Shah / the Sultan), arranged horizontally across the flan in the characteristic cursive Naskh script of Gujarat Sultanate copper coinage. The surface exhibits heavy red and green patination typical of buried copper, with the legend struck boldly though somewhat unevenly due to the irregular planchet. The overall design follows the standard epigraphic type of Gujarat half-falus issues of the mid-sixteenth century.
