| Reverse description | Hammered reverse displaying a three-line Arabic legend in the field, reading 'bin Latif / Shah / al-Sultan' (son of Latif / Shah / the Sultan), arranged horizontally across the flan in the characteristic cursive Naskh script of Gujarat Sultanate copper coinage. The surface exhibits heavy red and green patination typical of buried copper, with the legend struck boldly though somewhat unevenly due to the irregular planchet. The overall design follows the standard epigraphic type of Gujarat half-falus issues of the mid-sixteenth century. |
