| Obverse description | Crude hammered field bearing a multi-line Persian legend in Naskh-influenced script, occupying the central area of the flan. The inscription, rendered in bold raised lettering, references the ruler Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah of Golkonda. The die is irregularly centred on the roughly circular planchet, with portions of the legend extending toward the unstruck periphery, characteristic of hammered copper coinage of the Deccan sultanates. |
