Obverse description Irregular square hammered copper flan bearing the Islamic Kalima in Arabic script arranged across the field in three lines. The inscription reads the Shahada declaration in a bold, somewhat crude calligraphic style characteristic of Malwa Sultanate provincial coinage. The legends are deeply struck but show surface irregularity consistent with hand-hammered production. The flan edges are uneven with slight curvature at the corners. Green patination and surface encrustation obscure portions of the lettering.
