| Reverse description | Reverse of this hammered copper half-falus bearing a two-line Arabic inscription in raised relief across the flat field. The legend reads 'Falus Zarb Ujjain', identifying the denomination as a falus and attributing the issue to the Ujjain mint, one of the provincial mints active under Emperor Akbar. The script is naskh in style, boldly struck but with characteristic irregularities typical of hammered Mughal copper coinage of the late sixteenth century. No border, pellets, or decorative devices are present. |
