| Description de l’avers | The Bolivian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting an oval shield bearing a llama, a mountain, and a rising sun, surmounted by a condor with wings displayed. Flanking the shield are two crossed cannons with cannonballs on the left and a pair of fasces on the right, with branches of laurel and breadfruit extending outward. The legend REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA arcs along the upper periphery, divided on either side of the central device. A row of eleven five-pointed stars is arranged along the lower border, separated by small ornamental dots, all within a milled border. |

| Description du revers | The denomination, weight, and fineness are inscribed in the central field within a laurel wreath tied at the base. The patriotic motto LA UNION ES LA FUERZA arcs along the upper periphery outside the wreath. Below the wreath, the date 1868 appears in the exergue, flanked by the mint monogram PTS for the Potosi Mint and the assayer initials F and E, all separated by lozenge-shaped stops. The reverse legend and central inscriptions are rendered in bold, well-spaced Roman capitals, consistent with the milled coinage standards of the Potosi Mint. |
