Reverse description A quartered heraldic shield, surmounted by an open royal crown, occupies the central field. The dexter half bears the arms of France — three fleurs-de-lis arranged two-and-one on a plain field — while the sinister half displays the arms of Navarre — a gyronny of chains forming the characteristic Navarrese escutcheon. The shield is rendered with fine engraved detail in the French Baroque tradition. The circular Latin legend surrounding the composition includes the date 1658 and the biblical motto, separated by decorative stops, within a toothed inner border.
